The fun starts at 9 a.m. with free rides on our 7-1/2 gauge miniature railway. Enjoy hobo stew while sitting around the campfire listening to hobo stories by our own Hobo King and Queen. Learn real Hobo Codes in our Scavenger Hunt and win prizes. Listen to Country and Blue Grass music all day by local artists and even learn to play a harmonica.

The fun continues in the Friends of the Shiawassee River booth where kids of all ages can learn to tie their own fishing flys. Purchase homemade ice cream from our vendor tent along with chocolates and nuts made by a local confectioner.

Check out the work being done on the Pere Marquette # 1225 steam locomotive. Sit in the cab and take pictures of the work in progress as she begins her inspection and rebuild. This extraordinary train will depart from "Scotland USA", Alma, Michigan at 9 a.m., with a planned arrival into Cadillac at 12:30 p.m. Following a 2-1/2 hour visit of downtown Cadillac, the passengers will board at 3 p.m. for a scheduled 7:00 p.m. return to Alma.
